Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Novucart website or placing an order. By accessing our platform or completing a purchase, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About Novucart

Novucart is an online marketplace for premium dried fish products. We connect customers worldwide with quality dried fish, carefully sourced and delivered to your door.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to place an order. By using our platform, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

3. Products

• Product descriptions, weights, and images are provided in good faith. Actual appearance may vary slightly due to the natural nature of the product.
• All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to limit quantities or discontinue any product at any time.
• Prices are displayed in your local currency and are inclusive of applicable taxes where required.

4. Orders & Payment

• An order is confirmed only after successful payment. You will receive a confirmation email with your order details.
• We accept payment via Paystack (local currency) and Stripe (international). Payment must be made in full at the time of order.
• We reserve the right to cancel any order where payment cannot be verified or where fraud is suspected, with a full refund issued.
• Guest checkout is available. We recommend creating an account for easier order tracking.

5. Shipping & Delivery

• Delivery timelines are estimates and not guaranteed. Delays caused by customs, weather, or carrier issues are outside our control.
• You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address. We cannot be held liable for orders delivered to an incorrectly submitted address.
• International orders may be subject to import duties and taxes imposed by the destination country. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
• Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery confirmation by the carrier.

6. Returns & Refunds

• Due to the perishable and food nature of our products, we do not accept returns.
• If your order arrives damaged, spoiled, or significantly different from what was described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and your order number. We will offer a replacement or full refund at our discretion.
• Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

7. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use our platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts.
• Submit false or fraudulent orders.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute our content without written permission.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Novucart platform — including text, images, logos, and design — is owned by or licensed to Novucart. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Novucart shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our platform or products. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant order.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use of our platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
